Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of the DiscTok bot, the DiscTok website, and the server dashboard (together, "DiscTok"). By inviting the bot to a Discord server, signing in with Discord, or subscribing to a plan, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and, where relevant, the server you manage.

If you do not agree, do not use DiscTok and remove the bot from any servers you control.

DiscTok links a Discord member's own TikTok account to their Discord identity, then uses that link to grant roles, display profile cards, and (when the member opts in and the server's plan allows it) announce new public videos to a channel.

DiscTok is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by TikTok or Discord. TikTok and Discord are third-party platforms with their own terms, which continue to apply to you.

DiscTok connects to TikTok only through TikTok's official Login Kit and Display API. A member authorizes the link themselves through TikTok's consent screen and approves the scopes shown there. DiscTok never asks for and never receives a TikTok password.

DiscTok reads only the public profile fields and statistics a member approved, together with the tokens required to keep that data current. DiscTok does not post to TikTok, modify a TikTok account, or access private messages, drafts, or analytics that were not approved.

If TikTok suspends or changes the API, some features may stop working. Sections on availability and changes apply.

You need a Discord account to use DiscTok, and a TikTok account to link one. You must meet the minimum age required by Discord and TikTok in your country, and in any case be at least 13 years old.

You are responsible for keeping access to your Discord account secure. Actions taken through your account, including links and role grants, are treated as your actions.

If you configure DiscTok for a Discord server, you represent that you have permission to manage that server and to make decisions about its roles, channels, and integrations.

You choose the announcement channel, role ping, templates, and role rules. You are responsible for making sure your server's use of those features complies with the rules of your community, with Discord's policies, and with these Terms.

Paid plans are billed through Stripe. Prices are shown in US dollars and may change with notice. Subscriptions renew automatically for the period you selected until you cancel.

You can cancel at any time from the billing portal in your dashboard. Cancellation stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the period you already paid for. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

DiscTok never sees or stores your card details. Payment information is handled by Stripe under its own terms.

Do not use DiscTok to harass, impersonate, or misrepresent anyone. Do not link a TikTok account that is not yours, or that you are not authorized to link. Do not attempt to scrape, reverse engineer, overload, or bypass limits of the service or the TikTok API.

Do not use DiscTok in a server that violates Discord's terms, and do not use it to distribute unlawful content or to build a competing linking dataset.

DiscTok is provided on an as-is basis. Features depend on third-party platforms and on TikTok's API, and polling intervals, available fields, and features may change when those platforms change.

We may add, change, or remove features, and may set or adjust plan limits, to keep the service healthy and within platform rules. Where a change materially reduces a paid plan, we will give reasonable notice.

We may suspend or terminate access to DiscTok, with or without notice, if these Terms are violated, if required by law, or if the service is abused. You may stop using DiscTok at any time by unlinking accounts, removing the bot from your servers, and cancelling any subscription.

When a link is removed, or when a member revokes access on TikTok, DiscTok deletes the stored TikTok data for that link as described in the Privacy Policy.

DiscTok does not verify the accuracy of data returned by TikTok and does not guarantee that a member's statistics are complete or current beyond the most recent successful poll. Role rules and profile cards show the most recent data DiscTok was able to read.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DiscTok is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DiscTok is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost roles, lost revenue, or lost community activity, arising from your use of the service.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for DiscTok in the three months before the claim, or ten US dollars, whichever is greater.

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by a new "last updated" date on this page, and continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
